I am truly honored to serve on the WLP Faculty Excellence Awards Committee. Each year, this experience offers a fascinating glimpse into the innovative and impactful research being conducted by women faculty across USF’s campuses. It’s a highlight of my year to learn about the diverse work being done—from groundbreaking studies in health to transformative teaching practices.
This year, under the thoughtful leadership of Chair Kathy Bradley-Klug, the selection process was both smooth and enjoyable. Her guidance and organization made it easy to focus on what matters most: celebrating the accomplishments of extraordinary faculty members who are shaping their fields and enriching the university community.
The Faculty Excellence Awards are just one of the many ways Women in Leadership & Philanthropy (WLP) at USF is transforming lives and making a difference. For nearly two decades, WLP has supported the educational and research pursuits of women throughout USF. Since its inception, WLP has invested more than $4 million in scholarships, faculty research awards, and mentorship programs.
WLP also fosters a vibrant community through events and engagement, including the highly anticipated Fall Symposium—this year featuring Academy Award-winning actor and activist Geena Davis as keynote speaker.
